All set for First Ranji Tie

The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) cricket field is set to play host to the 2015-2016 Ranji season of Goa with the first match against Hyderabad starting on October 1 at 9.30 am. The Hyderabad team is already down in Goa and practise sessions have started.

The Goan team – captained by Dheeraj Jadhav- have been going through net practises since arriving from Pune after September 15. Batsman as well as bowlers have been through the grind under the watchful eyes of coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar and his back up team.

Borad of control for Cricket in India (BCCI) deputed Pandit Rohan and Sharin Balwant as umpires for the ties while Prasant Kumar Mohapatra has been named as match referee.

The match will start at 9.30 am on Thursday and should be over by 4.30 pm if the stipulated overs are bowled.

Hyderabad is captained by Hanuman Bihari and the team is putting up in a city hotel.
Except for playing gear, GCA has provided the kit for the Goa squad .
