Goa bat with gusto;set to take 3 points

Goa took a 24 run first innings lead over Hyderabad on the third days play of their Ranji tie at GCA grounds , Porvorim. Goa were 349 for the loss of five wickets when stumps were called. If the match ends in a draw tomorrow,it should, Goa claim three vital points for surpassing Hyderabad’s first innings total of 325. Hyderabad go home with a point.
Bowler Raituraj Singh caught everyone’s eye with his masterful 59 which provided Goa with the much needed composure to be able to surpass Hyderabad’s total.R Singh who came in as the night watchman and batted for a good one and a half hours today. His 59 contained two sixes and eight fours.
Sagun Kamat was not out on 81 and bowler S Bandekar was not out on five at close of play.
Darshan Misal was the last man out scoring 67 runs from 122 balls. His knock contained seven fours and a six.
Former Goa captain Swapnil Asnodkar scored 53,captain Dheeraj Jadhav contributed 46 to give great respectability to Goa’s first inning total of 349.Swapnil scored six fours,Dheeraj score five fours and Sagun Kamat belted nine fours and a six in their respective contributions.
Sudeep Tyagi and Vishal Sharma captured two wickets apiece each giving away 92 and 72 runs respectively.
