PORVORIM Team Rajasthan bowled Goa for 244 and in reply were 20 for the loss of no wicket at close of first days play in the Elite Group C Ranji Trophy tie at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim on Sunday. Goa won the toss and elected to bat and lost the first two wickets quickly with captain Sagun Kamat out on 9 and Sumiran Amonkar on 6. The Goa innings were steadied thereafter with Amogh Desai scoring 44 and Amit Verma contributing 32 during their stay at the crease. Snehal Kauthankar was the top scorer for Goa with 48.Suyash Prabhu Desai (23) and Darshan Misal (29) were the other two batsmen who helped Goa reach 244 in 80 overs. A V Gautam and Chetan Bist were batting for Rajasthan on nine each.
