Goa lost to Haryana by 141 runs on the final day of the four day Elite Group C Ranji Trophy tie at Rohtak on Friday. Chasing Haryana's 285-run victory target, Goa started the day at 30 for 2 with Sagun Kamat and Amit Verma at the crease. Captain Sagun was dismissed without adding a run to his previous days score of 10. Wickets, thereafter, fell in quick succession, with Snehal Kauthankar being bowled out for 14 runs by AH Hooda and Goa saw themselves struggling at 59/4. Amit Verma was dismissed for 23 after facing 63. Goa's innings ended with the wicket of K Das who became the sixth victim of Hooda after his delivery was caught by substitute RP Sharma once again. Das failed to open his account despite facing 9 balls. Apart from Hooda, Haryana's HV Patel was the other successful bowler in the bowling line up taking 3 wickets for 40 runs. J Yadav took one wicket giving away 22. Haryana's Pramod Chandila was adjudged the player of the match for his 122 runs in the second innings which played a pivotal role to rescue his team that was struggling at 34/7.
