Goa trail Assam by 109 runs at the end of first days play of the Elite group C Ranji Trophy tie being played in Guwahati on Saturday.
Goa won the toss, elected to field and got the hosts out for 175 runs in 50.2 overs.
Lakshay Garg was the most successful bowler for Goa taking five wickets in his 18.2 overs.Krishna Das and Felix Alemao both took two wickets each while the other wicket was captured by Amit verma.
Biplab Saikia top scored for Assam with 41runs.
In reply, Goa was 66 for the loss of three wickets at close of play.
Sumiran Amonkar was batting on 19 along with Snehal Kauthankar on 8.
Captain Sagun Kamat was out on 29 whilst Darshan Misal was bowled for a duck, Amit Verma scored two before he was dismissed.
