PORVORIM ONGC entered the finals of the Goa Corporate League defeating RBI by 10 wickets in the semifinals played at the GCAground in Porvorim on Saturday. The winners won the toss but opted to field. RBI took time to start scoring with pace and it was not until captain Kumar Deobrat took the field that their score started moving steadily. Deobrat scored a sizzling 89 of 43 balls which included nine sixes and three fours. Deobrat had some assistance from Amit Mishar (20) and Kuldeep Hooda(28). ONGC did not have to sweat much to achieve the target set by RBI as they were assisted by a powerful 64 not out scored by captain Nitish Rana and two valuables 50s by Lakshay Thareja and Om Bhosle (51). ONGC crossed the target set by RBI by scoring 195 for 3 in 19.1 overs. ONGC captain Nitish Rana was awarded the Man of the Match Award by Jamir Carol Hon Treasurer, GCA and Adv. Nitin Sardessai, Senior Adv. High Court .
