NEWS BYTE "A lot of cricket talent is hidden in villages of Goa and GCA is focussing in rural areas to take cricket to another level ," stated Vipul Phadke, secretary of Goa Cricket Association (GCA) after distributing 18 kits at BhagwatiSchool in Pernem in the presence of Shri Dayanand Sopte , MLA of Mandrem on June 17. "GCA is ready to set a cricket centre in Pernem if land is made available for the same ," stated Mr Vipul Phadke. Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte thanked GCA for distributing the kits to schools and requested the teachers present for the function to make the best of the kits distributed by GCA. He also assured the school teachers that if any boy or girl needs any kind of assistance in academics ,sports or arts , his doors were always open to them.
