Mixed luck for Goan teams

GCA News Bytes Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) defeated host's Golden Tiger by 12 runs and registered their third victory in a row in the GCA's Corporate League Cricket at GCA ground on Wednesday. In anther match on the same day, Goan lions and Reliance shared points as both teams were tied. The ONGC team, after winning the toss, elected to bat first,and managed to score 117 with the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs with contributions from Suhail Sharama (28), Nitish Rana (28), Mayank Tehlan (12) and Amit Mishra (not out 14). Golden Tigers , chasing the victory target of 118 runs, failed to achieve it and could score only 105 for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs with the help of Reagan Pinto (39), Amog Desai (15), Rahul Keni (16), Shadab Jakati (10), Amit Yadav (not out 08) and Sagun Kamat (08). Amit Mishra, who claimed three wickets while conceding 18 runs, was adjudged the man of the match.
