Alcon Margao Cricket Club (MCC) trails Salgaokar Cricket Club by 133 runs and Dempo Cricket Club was on 364 for nine at end of first days play of the Goa Premier league (GPL) organised by Goa cricket association (GCA) at the Panbjim Gymkhana and Academy ground in respectively on Monday.
Salgaokar CC was bowled for 207 and MCC was on 74 for no loss.
Deepraj Gaokar topscored for Salgaokar with his 72 from 113 balls. Gaurish Kambli scored 37 from 79 balls and Yash Kasvankar contributed 35 from 92 balls. D Chittem scored 21.
Keith pinto and Vedant Naik claimed three wickets for MCC and captain Darshan Misal took two wickets.
Sumiran Amonkar was not out on 40 and Prathamesh Gawas was not out on 31 for MCC at close of play.
Dempo Cricket club won the toss at Panjim Gymkhana and opted to bat and was on 364 for the loss of nine wickets.
Vikas Singh on 117 top scored for Dempo. Vasu Tiwari made 61 and captain Lakshay Garg contributed 69.
