NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Chorao Cricket Club defeated Betim Sports and Cultural Club by 5 wickets in the B Division of Tiswadi Zone organised by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) at Academy ground in Porvorim on Monday. Betim SCC opted to bat, after winning the toss, and was bowled for 192 in 38.2 overs. Chorao Cricket club reached their target and finished on 195 for 5 in 27.1 overs from the allotted 40 overs. Kiran Pednekar of Chorao Cricket Club was adjudged the man of the match for his 67 from 41 balls. He struck the dence on 9 occasions and belted the ball over the fence twice . Ashish Hirloskar of Chorao scored 75 from 66 balls and Saiesh Bhonsle made 52 from 65 balls. Naresh Narvekar , Jagdish Somji and Manjit Khandeparkar claimed 2 wickets each.
