NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Global Sports Club beat Dost Cricket Club by 4 wickets in the North Zone B Division match organized by Goa Cricket Association whilst Jetty Cricket Club won over Youth Club of Vasco by 162 runs and MRF Sports Club got the better of Curchorem Cricket Club in the two South Zone matches of the same division. In the match held at GCA Academy ground in POrvorim , Dost CC won the toss and opted to bat and were bowled out for 113 in 36.2 overs. In reply , winners Global SC scored 114 for the loss of 6 wickets in 18.4 overs. Datta Naik of Global SC scored 25 from 25 balls and later claimed 2 wickets to earn the Man of the Match award. Rajesh Colvalcar of Dost CC finished as the highest scorer with his knock of 32 from 74 balls. Ryan Fernandes of Global was the third highest scorer with his 22 from 22 balls and also finishing as the highest wicket taker with a haul of 3 wickets in 9 overs and giving away 18 runs. Rahin Shaynaar also claimed 3 wickets from his 5 overs whilst conceding 21 runs. At the MCC ground in Margao , Jetty Cricket Club won by 162 runs over Youth Club of Vasco. Jetty CC scored 271 for 10 and Youth club of Vasco was dismissed for 109 in 22.1 overs. Shoaib Ansari of Jetty CC won the Man of the match award for his 8 wicket haul in 6.1 overs. He conceded 8 runs. Anil of Youth Club of Vasco claimed 3 wickets in his allotted 9 overs whilst surrendering 56 runs. In the last South Zone b Division match held at GCA ground in Sanguem , Curchorem Cricket Club opted to bat and was bowled out for 181 in 42 overs. MRF scored 182 for the loss of 6 wickets in 38.4 overs. Viraj Lad of MRF won the Man of the Match award for his 3 wicket haul and his 36 runs from 61 balls.
