NEWS BYTE Margao Goa took a first innings lead of 106 runs against Cricket Association of Pondicherry (CAP) on the second day of the Cooch Behar Trophy at the Margao Cricket Club ground in Margao on Saturday. Resuming on 61 for 1 , Goa were bowled out for 260 runs in 118.1 overs. In reply, the visitors were 7 for no loss in their second innings and two more days to go. Mohit Redkar top scored for Goa with 61 from ninety balls. Shubham Gajinkar was the second highest scorer from Goa with 51 from 200 balls. Ruthvik Naik contributed with 44 runs and he was followed by Piyush Yadav (20),Rahul Mehta (19) and Ayush Verlekar on 17. Pondicherry now trail Goa by 101 runs. Goa who started on 61 added 199 runs to their over night score of 61 losing nine wickets in the bargain.
