Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) got the better of Goa Cricket Association (GCA) by five wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match played at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Karnataka on Tuesday.
Goa batted first and amassed 241 runs for the loss of eight wickets with bowler Darshan Misal , once again, finishing as highest scorer with his 69 from 87 balls. In reply, Kerala managed to score 242 for the loss of 5 wickets in 38.1 overs.
Captain Suyash Prabhudesai finished as second highest scorer with his contribution of 34 runs from 55 balls.
Deepraj Gaonkar contributed 32 runs from the 49 balls he faced and Mohit Redkar remained not out on 23 from 11 balls. Wicket keeper KD eknath scored 22 from 41 balls.
Snehal Kauthankar (14) and SD Lad (12) were the other two batsmen to cross the double digit mark.
SD Lad claimed 3 wickets for Goa in his 5.1 overs and surrendered 19 runs. Darshan Misal and Felix Alemao claimed the other wickets amongst themselves.
