NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Pilerne Cricket Club beat Bardez Gymkhana by 6 wickets in the North zone B Division League organized by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) at the Academy ground in Porvorim on Friday. Pilerne won the toss and asked Bardez Gymkhana to bat and restricted them to 200 for 9 in the allotted 40 overs. In return, Pilerne went on to score 202 for the loss of 4 wickets in 30.1 overs. Krupesh Bandodkar won the Man of the Match award for his not out 94 from 80 balls. Krupesh hit 10 fours and 3 sixes. Viraj Mailk was also not out on 54 from 41 balls for the winners. Chandrashekar Lokhande of Bardez Gymkhana finished as the third highest scorer of the match with his 48 from 81 balls. Ramkrishna Shetye of Bardez Gymkhana was the highest wicket taker with his 3 wicket haul from 6 overs. He conceded 25 runs. Vipul Nagvekar and Eligius De Souza claimed 2 wickets a piece.
