Sunanda Yetrekar eases Goa to 2nd consecutive win: BCCI Tourney
NEWSBYTES PORVORIM Sunanda Yetrekar’s five wicket haul and her 27 runs enabled Goa overwhelm Rajasthan by six wickets in the BCCI Senior Womens One Day Trophy tournament at KL Saini stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. This is Goa’s second consecutive win and leaves the team with eight points in Group E. Goa won the toss and opted to allow Rajasthan to bat and the decision paid dividends with the latter being bowled out for 91 in 32.2 overs out of the allotted 50. Goa scored 95 for the loss of four wickets in 29.5 overs. Sunanda Yetrekar finished with five wickets, sparing 22 runs in her allotted ten overs . Rupali S Chawan and Tejaswini Duragad claimed one wicket a piece giving away 16 and 3 runs respectively. Captain Shikha Pandey , Sanjula Naik and Rupali Sukhadev were instrumental for the other three wickets through the run outs orchestrated by them. Goa began its reply with Sunanda leading the batting onslaught with her 27 runs from 56 balls and she was ably assisted by Captain Shikha Pandey who remained not out on 35 from 56 balls.
