NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Goa beat Haryana by 6 wickets in the Mens U-25 State A Trophy being organised by BCCI at CAP ground 3 in Puducherry on Tuesday. Goa has consolidated its position in Elite Group B by collecting four points. Goa won the toss and opted to field and restricted Haryana to 184 for 4 in the allotted twenty overs and finished by scoring 185 for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Opener V Bhardwaj who remained not out on 108 in the 65 balls faced by him was the only Haryana player capable of crossing the double digit mark for his team. Goa , in reply , were propped up by 77 scored by Kashyap Bakle in 47 balls and Manthan Khutkar who scored 67 from 49 balls. None of the other Goan batsmen could cross the double digit mark. Dheeraj Yadav claimed two wickets for Goa , giving away 29 runs whilst Heramb Parab and captain Suyash Prabhudesai claimed the other wickets. Goa is now on six points .
