NEWS BYTES PORVORIM 59 not out by Shubham Ranjane and KD Eknath not out on 52 enabled Goa reach 239 for the loss of 4 wickets and trail Saurashtra by 108 runs at close of stumps on day 2 of the Ranji Trophy tie organized by BCCI at the Narendra Modi stadium ground ‘B’ in Motera on Friday. Saurashtra who resumed on 343 for 7 was bowled by Goa after adding 3 runs to their overnight score. Opener Amogh Desai laid the foundation for Goa with his 47 from 105 balls and Suyash Prabhudesai assisted with his 64 from 143 balls. Shubham Ranjane remained not out on 59 from the 137 balls faced by him along with KD Eknath who compiled 52 from 89 balls. Lakshay Garg, Shrikant Wagh and Suyash Prabhudesai claimed two wickets each while Shubham Ranjane , and Darshan Misal claimed 1 apiece.
