Goa were 216 for the loss of two wickets at close of play on the first day of their Ranji Trophy tie against Jammu and Kashmir at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim.
J& K won the toss and chose to field.
Opener Sumiran Amonkar was batting on 69 . His innings was laced with nine fours and one six. The visitors claimed the wicket of Amogh Desai , when he was on 43.
Captain Sagun Kamat was next to go in for 57 after hitting 7 fours and one six from 86 balls.
Amit Verma was on 37 at close of play.
