NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Goa Cricket Association (GCA) beat Arunachal Pradesh Cricket Association (ARCA) by five wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match played at Alur cricket stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Arunachal Pradesh batted first and was dismissed for 175 in the allotted fifty overs. Goa, in return, went on to compile 176 for the loss of five wickets in 25.3 overs. Amulya Pandrekar claimed five wickets for Goa in his nine overs and gave away 41 runs. Lakshay Garg took 3 wickets in his eight overs whilst giving away 32 runs. V A Naik and Arjun Tendulkar took one wicket a piece. Snehal Kauthankar top scored for Goa with his 68 from 50 balls. Captain Suyash Prabhudesai contributed with 62 from 62 balls. Deepraj Gaonkar made 15 from 11 balls.
