Goa needs 52 to win

Goa needs 52 runs to beat Assam and win their Elite Group C Ranji trophy match in Guwahati on Monday. Assam were bowled for 235 in their second innings leaving Goa with a target of 217. In reply, Goa was 166 for the loss of six wickets at close of the seconds day play. Lakshay Garg accounted for five of Assam's wickets whilst Krishna Das and Felix Alemao claimed two wickets each. Amit Verma took one wicket. Goa began its second innings losing captain Sagun Kamat for 21 and Sumiran Amonkar was sent back to the pavilion for a duck. Amit Verma , not out on 62 and Lakshay Garg not out on 57 are the mainstay of Goa's batting. All other batsmen failed to reach the double digit mark.
