Goa’s Mohit Redkar selected as ‘India A’ Standby

Goa’s rising talent and Ranji Trophy cricketer Mohit Redkar has been selected among ‘Standby’ players for India A squad for ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. Mohit, who has also been selected for High Performance Camp for Emerging Players 2023 to be conducted at NCA-Bangalore from August 17 to September 5; finds himself among Harsh Dubey, Nehal Wadhera and Snell Patel in the list of Standby players as the 50-over format tournament to be played between eight Asian nations, will be held from 13th to 23rd July in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The young off-spinner from Margao made an impressive debut in Ranji Trophy in the 2022-23 season, bagging 19 wickets in 7 matches. Mohit notched up two fifers, one each against Rajasthan and Kerala. The 22-year-old also showed his potential with the bat as he scored 238 runs in 7 matches at an average of 26.44.
