NEWS BYTES PORVORIM La Paz Gardens defeated Khorlim XI by 7 wickets to win the 2021-22 Goa Cricket Association (GCA) A Division Cricket title at GCA Academy ground in Porvorim on Wednesday. La Paz won the toss and opted to field and bowled Khorlim XI for 110 in 30.2 overs. The winners went on to score 111 fo he loss of 3 wickets in 16 overs. Rupesh Asgaonkar was the star of the match with his 5 wicket haul for Khorlim XI. Rupesh’s won the Man of the Match award for scalping his wickets in 6 overs and conceding 24 runs. Kevin Almeida and Sujit Nayak claimed two wickets each to finish as the second highest wicket takers of the match. Mayank Mishra was the top scorer of the final with his 51 from 70 balls. Sujit Nayak was not out on 32 from 23 balls and Aniket Desai scored 23 from 32 balls.
