PORVORIM Reliance A will play ONGC in the finals of the Goa corporate league after defeating DY Patil by four runs in the semifinals at GCA ground, Porvorim on Saturday. Reliance A won the toss and chose to bat and posted a total of 201 for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Captain Saurabh Tiwaris who has excelled for Relaince in the tournament so far was 84 not out at the close of play. He hit six 4's and four 6's during his tay at the wicket. Jitesh Sharma assisted his captain to take the teams total to 201 with 62 from 33. DY Patil did make efforts to cross the total set by Relaince with a timely 47 by opener Ruturaj Gaikwad.Navshad Shaikh contributed 52 while Rinku singh scored a breezy 71 from 27 balls. However, Kamlesh Nagarkoli claimed 3 wickets in his four overs to dent DY Patils hope of a win. He was later presented with the Man of the Match Award by Dr. Venkatesh Prabhudessai Vice President GCA and Mr.Yatin Kamurlikar GCA Committee Member.
