Sumit scores 1st ton as RBI win

PORVORIM Reserve Bank of India (RBI)beat Indian Oil by 5 runs in the Goa Corporate League being organised by GCA and played at their Academy grounds in Porvorim on Wednesday. In a match that saw both teams cross the 200 runs mark , RBI won the toss and elected to bat. Sumit Gadigaonkar became the first player to score a century as he hit 104 from 58 balls.His 100 consisted of nine fours and six sixes. Sumit was asisted by opener Pranay Sharma who contributed with 41 from 27 balls and Sayan Mondal made 49. The first three batsmen left their team with a score of 194. Ankush Singfh was the star for RBI with his timely 62 from 35 balls.Yashasvi Jaiswal made 48 along with Pinal shah (21) and Hrishikesh Motkar (26). However,their contributions were inadequate to surpass the RBI total of 216.They finished on 211 for the loss of eight wickets. GCA Executive Committee member awarded the Man of the Match award to Sumit Gadigaonkar of Reliance for his century.
