UP needs 41 runs to trouble Goa : C K Nayudu

NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) needs 41 runs to win against Goa Cricket Association (GCA) as rain stopped play on the penultimate day of the C K Nayudu Trophy cricket tournament organized by BCCI at the Alur Cricket stadium in Bangalore on Thursday. Goa bowled out Uttar Pradesh on 300 and was dismissed in their second innings for 192 – leaving UP to chase 72 runs for a win. At close of play, due to rain, Uttar Pradesh was 31 for no loss . Vaibhav Goverkar top scored for Goa in its second innings with 48 from 76 balls and he was followed by Ruthvik Naik who scored 41 from 48 balls. Captain Deepraj Gaonkar scored 34 from 93 balls whilst V G Kahlon made 16 from 88 balls. Mohit Redkar (13) and Heramb Parab (11) were the other two players from Goa to cross the double digit mark. Ruthvik Nai was the highest wicket taker for Goa claiming 6 UP first innings wickets. Heramb , Deepraj , and Tunish finished with one wicket a piece.
