NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Goa Cricket Association (GCA) coach Krishna Bhaskar Pillai arrived Goa on August 12 ,2021 and after a brief discussion on his plans for the senior men’s team with the President , Secretary and selectors the met with the probable for the senior Goa team for the forthcoming season. Mr. Vipul Phadke - Hon. Secretary said that Pillai who has worked with teams like Delhi and Tripura has all -round experience of coaching different age groups and that his management skills will be very useful to take Goa to the next group. GCA is looking to have a long term relation with him, to deliver the necessary performance. Bhaskar Pillai said that he will have a two- way communication with players. He further said that he will be available 24x7 . He Spoke about individual role of each player whilst stressing the need of each player to be able to realise their role in the team and execute the same on a consistent basis. Pillai spoke about players focusing on their individual and team goals. He said he will be looking for consistency in their approach. He urged the players to work as a cohesive unit. Bhaskar Pillai will be leaving for Delhi on August 15 and will join the team on August 20, 2021 at Pondicherry where the senior team will be leaving for a pre-season camp . The team will be put through all formats of the game in matches against other State teams during the camp. Following is the list of 26 Probable players who will participate in Pre-season camp at Pondicherry on 20th August 2021.Aditya Kaushik,Amogh Desai , Ishan Gadekar,Nihal Surlaker,Sumiran Amonkar,Vaibhav Govekar,Snehal Kauthankar,Samit Mishra,Manthan Khutkar,Deepraj Gaonkar, Vishamber Kahlon,Rajshekar Harikant,Heramb Parab,Lakshay Garg,Ruthvik Naik,Felix Alemao,Amulya Pandrekar,Darshan Misal,Maliksab Shirur, Eknath Kerkar,Vijesh Prabhudesai, Mohit Redkar,Suyash Prabhudesai, Amit Yadav and Harshad Gadekar. The remaining probable players will practice in Goa and players will be shuffled between Goa and Pondicherry based on their performances in practice matches that are held in both places.
