Alcon MCC wins, Salgaokar CC benefit on 1st innings lead: GPL

Alcon MCC beat Geno Sports Club by 140 runs and Salgaokar Cricket Club benefitted with a first innings lead against Dempo Cricket Club in the Goa Premier league (GPL) organised by Goa cricket Association (GCA) at the academy ground in Porvorim and Sanguem ground respectively on Friday.
Alcon MCC managed to bowl out Geno for 97 in their second innings with Annand Tendulkar , who scored 32 , finishing as the highest scorer for the losers. Sanath Nevagi scored 20 and Yogesh Kauthankar contributed 15.
Captain Darshan Misal claimed five wickets for the winners from his 21 overs. Vedant naik claimed four wickets from 11 overs.
In the other match played at the GCA ground in Sanguem, Salgaokar Cricket club who had scored 295 in their first innings, declared their second innings on 185 for the loss of 7 wickets.
Ayush Verlekar top scored for Salgaokar , remaining not out on 64 from 118 balls. Dishank Misquin scored 51 from 133 balls , Yash Kasvankar made 26 and Aditya Suryawanshi made 18.
