NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Geno Sports Club requires 203 runs to beat Alcon MCC and Salgaokar Cricket Club leads Dempo Cricket Club by 69 runs in the Goa Premier League organised by Goa Cricket Association (GCAA) at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim and Sanguem ground respectively at close of second days play on Thursday. In Porvorim, Alcon MCC was bowled for 313 in its second innings and Geno was on 35 for the loss of 1 wicket. Piyush Yadav  top scored for Alcon MCC with his 78 from 117 balls and he was assisted by a 56 from Prathamesh Gawas. Sumiran Amonkar contributed 54 , Shaantanu Nevagi scored 31 and Vedant Naik scored 22. Dheeraj Yadav claimed 4 wickets from his 34.5 overs and Udit Yadav captured 3 wickets in his 21 overs. Anand Tendulkar was on 18 along with Sanath Nevagi who was not out on 14 for Geno in its second innings. Salgaokar Cricket club led Dempo CC by 69 runs after having dismissed the latter for 241. Vikas Singh top scored for Dempo with his 98 from 166 balls. Abhinav Rana contributed 48. Vijesh Prabhudesai and Amulya Pandrekar claimed four wickets each for Salgaokar CC.
