NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Challenger SC beat Madel Yuvak Sangh by 7 wickets whilst Iqbal XI got a walkover against Curchorem Cricket Club in the Goa Cricket Association (GCA) Division B league (2021-2022) matches of North and South Goa respectively on Thursday. Madel Yuvak Sangh won the toss and elected to bat and was bowled out for 121 in 28.1 overs. In reply, the winners scored 123 for the loss of three wickets in 21.4 overs. Sidesh Govekar was declared the Man of the Match. Domnic Braganza of Challenger SC was the highest scorer with his 50 from 45 balls. Chaitanya Kanekar , from Madel Yuvak Sangh , was the second highest scorer with his 44 from 63 balls and Shivam Kanekar also from Madel scored 38 from 36 balls, to finish as the third highest scorer of the day. In the bowling section , Siddesh Govekar of Challenger SC claimed the highest wickets with his three wickets whilst Sagar Gaonkar took two wickets.
