NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Global SC beat Manorva Sports and Cultural Club by 64 runs in the B Division League of North Goa organized by Goa cricket Association (GCA) at GCA Academy ground in Porvorim on Saturday. Manorva SCC won the toss and opted to field and winners Global SC were bowled out for 140 in 27.3 overs . Manorval SCC was bowled out for 27 in 23.4 overs in their allotted 35 overs. Swapnish Satarkar of Global SC won the Man of the Match award for his heroics with the bat and ball for the winners. Swapnish scored 42 from 66 balls and claimed 4 wickets from his 4 overs giving away 10 runs in the bargain. Tushar Pednekar ended as the second highest scorer of the game with his 23 from 32 balls. Sameer Chodankar stared for the losers with his 14 from 16 balls. Sameer Chodankar and Sukumar Palyekar claimed 3 wickets each. In the C Division League of South Goa, Mashem Cricket Club beat Sports Club of Zaino by 8 runs. Sporst Club of Zaino opted to field after winning the toss and bowled rivals Mashem for 189 in 32.3 overs. Needing 190 to win, Sports Club of Zaino could manage to score 189 in 35 overs. Uday Shet Desai of Mashem won the Man of the Match award for his 80 from 69 balls.Anand kerkar of Sports Club of Zaino claimed 6 wickets in 5.3 overs and conceded 24 runs while Pravir Bhandari took 5 wickets in his 7 overs and gave away 29 runs.
