NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Khorlim XI got the better of Goa Sports Academy by 146 runs and Sparkling Sports Association defeated Paramount Sports Club by 85 runs in the Goa Cricket Association (GCA) Division B League (2021-22) for North and South respectively. In the North Goa league , Khorlim XI were asked to bat by Goa Sports Academy(GSA) who won the toss and the former notched up 291 for the loss of 9 wickets in 45 overs. GSA was bowled out for 145 in 33.2 overs. Shahid who scored 48 from 47 balls and later claimed 4 wickets in his allotted 9 overs , giving away 35 runs, was adjudged the Man of the Match. Ninad Pawaskar was the highest scorer of the match with his 76 from 79 balls for winners Khorlim XI. Hemant Kumar scored 49 from 31 balls. Sparkling Sports Association defeated Paramount Sports Club by 85 runs in the South Goa League. The winners opted to bat after winning the toss and scored 262 for 10 in 43.2 overs. Paramount SC were bowled for 177 in 42.5 overs. Baibhav Kuribhagi top scored with his 76 from 73 balls and he was followed by Swapnil Ys who scored 62 from 42 balls.Sundip Faldesai of Paramount SC ended as the third highest scorer with his 48 from 29 balls. Sanat Mhapne was declared the Man of the Match for his 5 wicket haul in 9 overs , giving away 21 runs.Om Falte took 3 wickets and Sriram Mahshikare claimed 2 wickets.
