NEWS BYTES PORVORIM La Paz Gardens defeated Madkai Yuvak Sangh by 2 wickets to win the South Goa title of Division B league (2021-22) organised by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) on Monday. La Paz Gardens won the toss and preferred to allow their opponents from Madkai to bat and got them dismissed for 234 in 44 overs, In reply , La Paz went on to score 237 for 8 in 41.3 overs. Siddesh Naik of Madkai won the man of the match award for his 59 from 59 balls which contained 5 hits over the boundary and a four. Sujit Nayak was the highest scorer of the match with his 71 from 68 balls and Mayank Langde from Madkai scored 43 from 44 balls. Rupesh Asgaonkar and S B Yadav of La Paz claimed 3 wickets a piece whilst Madav Basappa claimed 2 wickets.
