Goa needs 17 runs to beat HP: CK Nayudu

NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Goa Cricket Association (GCA) is on the verge of defeating Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) needing 17 runs in the CK Nayudu Trophy cricket tournament organised by BCCI at Alur stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday. Goa bowled out Himachal Pradesh for 245 after the latter began on their overnight score of 4 for no loss and was on 99 for the loss of 6 wickets at close of play on the penultimate day. V G Kahlon took 5 HP wickets for Goa in his 13 overs surrendering 52 runs in the bargain. Shubham Tari claimed 2 wickets along with Ruthvik naik who also had a hand in two wickets. The lone other wicket was claimed by Mohit Redkar. Wicketkeeper Soham Panvalkar opened the batting for Goa’s second innings and he finished with a tally of 40 from 69 balls. Kashyap Bakle hit 26 from 55 balls to end up as the second highest scorer for Goa and Manthan Khutkar hit 17 from 27 balls.
