Goa records 2ns consecutive win: Sr Womens T20

NEWS BYTES PORVORIM The senior women’s team of Goa Cricket Association (GCA)defeated Uttarakhand Cricket Association by 8 wickets to  register  its second consecutive win in the Senior Women’s T20 League organised by BCCI at the M Y Singh stadium in Mohali on Tuesday. Uttarakhand won the toss and opted to bat first and was restricted by Goa to 85 for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Winners Goa scored 87 for the loss of 2 wickets in 18.2 overs. Opener Purvaja Verlekar set the foundation for Goa with her 31 from 47 balls. Tejashwini Duragad remained not out on 23 from 35 balls and not out with her was Nikita who made 13 from 14 balls. Shery scored 11 from 14 balls. Rupali Chavan was the highest wicket taker for Goa with her 3 wicket haul from her allotted 4 overs. She gave away 20 runs. Sunanda claimed 2 wickets from her 4 overs and gave away 16 runs. Captain Shikha Pandey , nikita and Tejaswini Duragad also claimed one wicket a piece. Goa has now collected eight points from two games.
