NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Kerala trailed Goa by 41 runs as centuries by Deepraj Gaonkar and Soham Sameer enabled Goa finish its first innings on 454 and Kerala was on 413 for the loss of 6 wickets at close of stumps on first day of the C K Nayudu trophy match organised by BCCI at Alur Cricket stadium in Bangalore on Thursday. Kerala won the toss and elected to field. Deepraj Gaonkar set the pace for Goa with his 114 from 185 balls and Soham capitalized on it with his 119 from 251 balls. Mohit Redkar went on to score 89 from 121 balls to help goa maintain a commanding first innings score. Vaibhav Govekar scored 37 from 40 , Ishaan Gadekar made 21 from 61 balls and Manthan Khutkar scored 10 to be amongst the players who crossed the double digit batting mark. Kerala was on 413 for the loss of 6 wickets at close of play with Deepraj Gaonkar being the pick of bowlers.
