NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) defeated Goa Cricket Association (GCA) by 84 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match organised by BCCI at the ISCA International stadium complex in Ranchi on Thursday. Goa won the toss and put Rajasthan to bat and the latter conjured a score of 257 for the loss of 8 wickets in the 50 over tournament. Goa was bowled out for 173. Lakshay Garg’s game of two wickets and the second highest runs (32) was not enough to see Rajasthan register four points. Felix Alemao claimed two wickets for Goa giving away 39 runs in his allotted 9 overs and he was followed by Darshan Misal who also claimed two wickets from his 8 overs at the cost of 44 runs. Lakshay Garg surrendered 51 runs whilst claimimg his two wickets. Aditya Kaushik top scored for Goa with his 53 from 60 balls and Lakshay Garg composed his 32 from 32 balls. Wicket keeper KD Eknath contributed 27 from 51 balls . Shubham Ranjane (17/20) and Darshan Misal (11/24) were the other two batsmen from Goa to cross double digit figures.
