Alcon MCC leads Geno Sports Cricket club by 26 runs and Salgaokar Cricket Club was on 291 for 9 at close of first days play of the Goa Premier league (GPL) organised by Goa cricket association (GCA) at GCA academy ground in Porvorim and Sanguem ground respectively on Wednesday.
Alcon MCC batted first at the GCA acdemy ground in Porvorim and was dismissed for 86. In reply, MCC got Geno out for 162 and was on 102 for no loss in its second innings.
Vedant Naik with 21 from 30 balls, top scored for Alcon MCC. Udit Yadav of Geno finished with six wickets from his 8 overs , giving away 20 runs.
Vaibhav Naik top scored for Geno with his 59 from 75 balls. Anand Tendulkar scored 40 from 39 and Ishaan Gadekar contributed 33 from 31 balls.
Captain Darshan Misal claimed 5 wickets from 17.5 overs.
Alcon MCC started their second innings with Sumiran Amonkar remaining not out on 48 and Prathamesh Gawas with him on 53 from 66 balls.
At the GCA ground in Sanguem, Salgaokar Cricket Club was on 291 for 9 with captain Deepraj Gaonkar top scoring with 67 from 60 balls. Opener amogh Desai scored 53 from 128 balls and Dishank Misquin contributed 41. Ayush Verlekar made 37.
