Alcon Margao Cricket Club (MCC) trails Dempo Cricket Club by 22 runs at close of first day play of the Goa premier league final being hosted by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) at the GCA academy ground in Porvirim on Saturday.
Dempo won the toss and opted to bat and was bowled out for 157. In reply, Alcon was on 135 for 5 .
Deep Kasvankar top scored for Dempo with his 50 from 78 balls. Captain Lakshay Garg scored 23 and Vikas Singh contributed 22.
Darshan Misal claimed 7 of dempo wickets in his 25 overs, surrendering 46 runs. Keith Pinto took two wickets at the cost of 78 runs.
Piyush Yadav was not out on 38 along with captain Darshan Misal who was on 12 for MCC. Shourya Jaglan scored 37 for MCC.
