NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Karimabad Sports Club declared its first innings on 466 for the loss of 9 wickets and claimed 2 Alcon MCC second innings wickets to leave the latter trailing by 212 runs at close of play on the second day of the Goa Premier League organised by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) at the association ground in Sanguem on Thursday. Tunish Sawkar finished as top scorer for Karimabad with his 161 from 193 balls.Soham Panvalkar contributed 76 from 107 balls ; Rajshekar Harikant made 65 from 48 balls and Deepraj Govekar finished with 46 from 65 balls. Azam Thota and Vedant Naik shared the two Alcon MCC second innings wickets amongst themselves. In the other match played at Panjim Gymkhana grounds in Campal , Geno SC requires 256 runs to beat Chowgule Sports Club. Chowgule SC was bowled for 188 in its second innings and Geno SC was on 44 for the loss of 1 wicket at close of second days play.
