NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Cricket Club of Altinho defeated Kanchole Cricket Club by 86 runs and Bandora Youth Club got the better of Madanant Cricket Club by 14 runs and the North zone and South Zone B Division matches organized by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) at GCA Academy ground in Porvorim and Sanguem respectively on Thursday. Cricket Club of altinho were put in to bat at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim and they mustered 215 for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 40 overs. Kanchole CC were bowled out for 129 in 26.5 overs. Utkarsh of Cricket Club of altinho was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wicket haul in 7 overs wherein he conceded 16 runs.Kasim Nadaf of Altinho also claimed 4 wickets in 8 overs and he gave away 42 runs. Manoj Shetgaonkar of Kanchole CC claimed 2 wickets. Aushutosh Natekar of Cricket Club of Altinho top scored with his 57 from 66 balls. Manoj Shetgaonkar of Kanchole scored 38 and Sanket Mandrekar also of Kanchole scored 37. In the South zone match played at the GCA ground in Sanguem , Bandora Youth Club was asked to bat and they scored 166 in 36.3 overs. The winners went on to bowl rivals Madanant for 152 in 37.3 overs. Shubhana Pathan of Bandora was declared the Man of the Match for his 62 from 65 balls. Ambar Naik top scored with 70 of 89 balls. Punnya Palkar claimed 3 wickets from his allotted 8 overs.
