Goa slips against Odisha CA: Syed Mushtaq Ali T20

NEWS BYTES PORVORIM Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) got the better of Goa Cricket Association by four wickets in the first match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 cricket tournament organised by BCCI at the Bharat Ratna Atal B Vajpayee ground in Lucknow on Thursday. Odisha won the toss and put Goa in to bat and got the latter out for 104 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Needing 105 to win, Odisha scored 107 in 19.5 overs losing six wickets in the bargain. The winners have thus collected their first four points of the competition. Goa started their first game of the tournament with four batsmen capable of passing the double digit mark. Shubham Ranjane top scored for Goa with 32 from 32 balls whilst opener Ishaan Gadekar managed 13 from the 11 balls he faced. Shrikant Wagh , who was not out on 12 from 14 balls and bowler Darshal Misal – 11 from 12 balls- were the other two batsmen to cross the double digit figure for Goa. Lakshay Garg started his innings in the tournament with the highest haul of 2 wickets from two overs and conceding 11 runs. Amit Yadav , Shrikant Wagh , Shubham Ranjane and Amulya Pandrekar claimed a wicket a piece.
